Jesse Boykins III- Itis (Music Video) dir by Atif Ateeq & Dr Woo

so I decided to explain my concept of the “Itis” to those who check out my site and are interested in it..
I was trying to find a way to symbolize inspiration. Its something that comes and goes without you noticing if you don’t sit back and pay attention. honestly, I was at My Boy Atif Ateeq (The Director) & Eric Poon’s WeAreVane Pop up shop in NYC for a gathering he was having and I was watching a woman smoke this cigarette. She layed her head back and exhaled slow. Now in my eyes it was like she was throwing out inspiration (even though Im not a fan of tobacco).. Smoke was the perfect thing to symbolize a change in mood or mark the moment when inspiration hits. So I got up with the team shared my vision and we made it happen. Thanks to everyone who contributed
special thanks to Atif Ateeq & Dr. Woo for spending crazy time on the Edit. Much Apreciated

I love it, nice idea/concept. And as I said by fav scene of the video is the first one in the bed.
    The photography is beautiful.

This is my favorite video so far. It gave me a insight of what this song is portraying. When I first saw this video, I felt the smoke represented the intoxicating effect a lover may have to his/her partner. I’ve learned the definition of Itis from my jamaican parents after eating one of my first big dinners of my childhood. I always thought there was no other definition of ‘ITIS’, but this this song and video gave me a new perspective. Itis is the feeling of being with your first love, the feeling of staying home with the your significant other, and the feeling of doing what you love. Even the people who do not know the definition of Itis have experienced it at least once in their lifetime.
As one of your fans, i appreciate you and the rest of the crew making these videos and songs. I’ll be waiting for the next project/album/whatever it is to drop.
